Tune into Angelic Love
Angels are one of the most profound and beautiful gifts that are provided for each of us, as a sign of God’s divine love. We each have what are referred to as guardian angels. I like to think of them as guiding angels or angelic friends. Their relationship to each of us is deeply personal, and a product of the fact that divine, omnipresent love is always with us.
Sometimes people don’t believe that such guiding forces of light and love exist around them personally. This is generally the result of a false sense of unworthiness, or the belief that there is no visible sign of such infinite benevolence in a person’s life. Let’s address these two misconceptions.
The first misconception, that one is unworthy, is factually false. If you are alive, then you are absolutely considered worthy to be here. In spite of any person’s perceived mistakes, God’s love still shines with infinite brightness upon every living soul, and help is always available to a sincere heart. For those who don’t believe that they have special angels supporting them, because they see no visible sign of such a thing, let me offer you a few tips to help you understand how to work with your angels effectively.
The first thing you should know is that in order for your angels to help you with a specific situation, you must first ask for that help. Your angels know everything about you from a context that is much larger than what you perceive in your everyday life. They really do know the bigger picture. The immutable law that they will always follow is to preserve and protect your free will. It is true that they protect and guide you in ways that you don’t even see, but they will always respect the overarching focus of life in this universe, which is self-determined evolution. In fact, on a planetary scale, if humanity as a whole does not care about our current, collective situation, then there is no amount of help in the entire universe that can come to our aid. That’s how powerful this law of free will really is.
There is no question that your angels are always available to support you individually with divine love. Here’s what you can do to enhance that relationship. If you are struggling with anything at all, you can simply ask your angels to help guide you to a positive solution. Oftentimes, that guidance will come in the form of an inspired idea that suddenly occurs to you. Or you may suddenly see something in a way that you never saw it before, thereby showing you a new pathway to resolution. I have found that the most effective angelic guidance comes in these simple ways, because it wholly honors your sense of sovereignty as a being.
Some people try to connect with their angels through automatic writing, or through having a dialogue with angels “in their head”, as they look for answers in words. I do not recommend this. First of all, it is not necessary, and secondly, unless you are formally trained by a qualified professional in how to do this safely, you risk becoming highly confused. You will find it difficult to tell if you are just listening to your own thoughts. And worse yet, you might unwittingly open yourself up to certain inter-dimensional energies that may not be operating in your best interest.
Angels are absolute experts at providing loving guidance, without having to “talk” to you in words. It is so much better to keep your center and experience your own inspiration. Your angels have been with you all your life, and already know how to guide you in perfect synchronicity with your true self and your highest good. This is not new for them! By asking them for specific help in certain areas, you simply provide them with a greater opportunity to help you even more.
Asking your angels for help is very easy to do. All you have to do is say something simple and from the heart like, “Dearest angels, please guide me toward a positive and loving solution to this problem.” Or you might say something like, “Angels, please help me to better understand this situation and what I can do about it, that is in the best interest of all parties involved.” Always ask for that which will elevate your situation in a positive way, and bring more harmony, peace, and love into your life. With your simple, heartfelt request, your angels can lovingly guide you towards the answer or solution that you seek.
If you ever feel that your angels are not responding to your request in ways that you can see, you can ask for help in experiencing greater clarity. One thing that can obstruct your sense of clarity is if you place too many conditions on the outcome. Without realizing it, your conditions might create a situation that cannot be solved in the best possible way. The other thing that can obstruct your clarity is if you are holding onto negative opinions and attitudes. This can block you from receiving the answers that you seek.
Whatever help you receive from your angels will be designed to elevate your consciousness and bring you closer to the qualities of divine, omnipresent love. The more that you seek that type of outcome, the better able your angels will be to directly respond to your sincere requests.

Saratoga, thank you! this is so divine and inspiring! To realize our angels love and guidance is always available to us at any time, in any situation is so, so uplifting. I find myself just turning to them with a little prayer, I know they will help, and it feels like the most natural thing! It gives me such peace, and I feel like I can bring that peace to others. I was sorry I had forgotten them for so long and I told them so. Thank you from my heart of hearts for reawakening me to my angels of love and light and guidance, it still blows me away!

Thank you Saratoga… After reading the part about ‘asking for their help,’ I stopped mid-sentence and went within. With love and sincerity and a desire to serve I asked my angels to help me with three particular vehicles of service that I wanted to develop. I asked that it be for the highest good of all concerned. When I had finished my prayer to the angels a wonderful soothing love descended upon me caressing my entire being with it’s sweetness and grace. It was indescribably beautiful! What a humble reminder to ask for their help.

We are not separate from one another or divine presence, whatever that means to each of us in our individual ways and whatever the perspective. Leigh, you bring up a beautiful point. Everyone has their own unique experience and perspective of divine presence. Yet the presence of love behind all things is the reason that we are one, as is all of creation. We should never allow ourselves to be confused by each other’s individuality. If you think of nature in the forest, there are so many different expressions of life there. Yet there is no confusion; just graceful harmony. We, as human beings, can learn this from nature and apply it to ourselves. Imagine what a different world this would be if we could be as accepting of human uniqueness as nature accepts the uniqueness of all beings in the forest.
Thank you Saratoga for reminding me that it is up to me to solve my own problems and that my angelic guides can only inspire me to find solutions to them, so many times I wish that problems would be solved for me, but I now realize that with free will, it is up to me to ask for guidance to solutions to my problems rather than a magical intervention to make them go away. At least that is what I am grasping from your message here. I will keep that in mind, or rather shall I say in my heart. It’s nice to know and be reminded that I am not alone. Thank you for your blogs and the wonderful reminders that we are not alone in this albeit we are encouraged to stand in our power and lead our lives as best we can. Just to know that there is angels around me to support me in my life and decisions gives me peace that I don’t have to always struggle alone.
This is such a beautiful and significant point that you make. Thank you so much for sharing this, because I think it can truly help others. So many people wait for a magical solution and when it doesn’t come, it can actually make things worse. Here is what I mean. If a person waits for a magical intervention, they are unable to contemplate a right action to take to solve their problem because they have decided to wait instead. When that magical intervention does not come, it can really do a number on a person’s self esteem. It can make one feel that God is not listening or that God doesn’t care. It can cause one to feel unworthy or abandoned. This only serves to deepen the original problem on an emotional level.
How much better to work in concert with your loving angels, who can help you find your way to becoming stronger and more self-confident. As your angels help you understand how you can solve that problem, you learn more and also feel more secure in your own capabilities. If a problem overwhelms you, you can even ask your angels to help inspire you with some baby steps that you can take. Even if it’s just a small step or two, it will increase your strength and confidence. You will see that you are not alone and may be encouraged to try a bigger step next time.

Saratoga, I keep reading this wonderful guidance about divine support so that I can continue to deepen my understanding and to discover ways to let it in. How can I stay open and receptive to this guidance? It’s very subtle for me, as sometimes I find that when I am in my most conscious state, often my patterns start swirling around, almost as if the old habitual ways of thinking are so ingrained in my psyche that those “old” parts of myself don’t really believe that I can transcend illusion in order to create what is natural to my talents and abilities. I am beginning to gain clarity about this but I know I have much to learn.
Past, present and future are one, since there is only this moment, time being a continuum in my experience. But the future still becomes the present and I want to be empowered to create everything I want in my life, and be able to share whatever I discover about truth in this physical life with others–probably through my artistic self, since that is the medium that best defines who I am. But realizing this intellectually and being the truth of who I am seem to be at odds a lot of the time. Why do we have to fight to become who we already are? Or is this just some misconception that I am holding in my consciousness?
Leigh, it sounds like you are describing the ego, which is the voice in the head that doubts everything, is negative, and wants you to stay the way you’ve always been. The ego is always at odds with the heart, which is your connection to your true self. Perhaps you can best connect with your heart through your artistic expression and meditation. Your heart is always in sync with your divine guidance. The ego never is. Sometimes it’s just a matter of which one you choose to listen to.
In reading your post, Saratoga, I was really drawn to your description of free will and how it relates to self-determined evolution. I have been seeing more clearly how this works in our lives and how the world is created around us through choices that we all make every day.
I am noticing a connection with this and what you state about the ego in your latest reply. I feel that the choice between listening to your heart or listening to the ego is all about free will. Ultimately, I feel that if I listen to the ego, no good can come of it. I would end up basically abdicating my free will. Perhaps this happening en mass is responsible for all that we see in the world around us that feels wrong.
However, if you look at all of the wonderful things that human beings create and bring into the world, I would bet that every one of them starts with someone making the choice to listen to inner guidance and their heart and, probably in many cases, with angelic guidance as well.
This is one area of my life that I would like angelic assistance with. I would like assistance with finding concrete ways to share my unique talents and abilities with the world to positively benefit as many people as possible.
This is a great point, Avalon, about exercising free will in relation to self-determined evolution. So many times we find ourselves making unconscious or reactionary decisions because we are not really paying attention to the guiding force in those decisions. Are we being guided by the negativity of the ego or are we in touch with the divine intelligence of our hearts? This is why meditation and natural angelic assistance are so helpful to gain greater clarity and therefore an opportunity for conscious choice.
I love your statement about what you would like angelic assistance with. This is a beautiful statement that can definitely align you with your life’s purpose.
When I look at the challenges and gifts of my life thus far, I realize there has always been some kind of guidance leading me along. I have come to think that my intuition was connected to my higher self and any angels hanging out there were welcome to chime in. Some of these challenges would trigger such despair as I would feel like I was hitting a brick wall. As I have grown through these experiences and continue healing on core levels I have learned to sit by the wall until it falls. Some of the healing work, would have to go very deep as I released extreme trauma out of my body and I would often see a benevolent being in my third eye hanging out with love and comfort.
I have made my living in the arts all my life. It is the only thing I was ever able to do. There have been many times when I was involved with a big project that I would see white floating beings above me in the other dimension. This was always my reassurance that I was moving in the right direction.
I still have some health challenges and I have been experimenting with asking the angels to help me before I go to sleep and sometimes i will get a dream when I am standing in a health food store and someone is telling me what to get. I don’t always remember when I wake up but I’ll get it from somewhere else. I have often felt my guidance[angels] can be sneaky and take me in directions I don’t want to go. Then when I look back there have been incredible benefits.
The drive to continue to create music is even stronger after all these years in a very tough business. We did a music and chakra bowl concert last Saturday night at a Unity church where I am the music director. We went through the chakras with music. One song I did was called “Hear the Angels Sing”. It prepares the mind for meditation. There is something so incredible about feeling that energy in the throat while you sing. It is a beautiful gift I am so grateful for every day of my life and when I sing that song i feel the angels lined up behind me.
It sounds like you are describing the influence of spirit guides and perhaps other beings, in addition to angelic support. Angelic guidance tends to be very subtle and seamlessly integrates with the harmony of life. Many people refer to all energy that is not physical as angelic, but this is not accurate. The most important thing is that whatever influence you feel brings love, blessings, and higher consciousness into your experience.
Hi Saratoga – I had to sit with your wonderful message for a few days so that I can gain a deeper understanding and clarity within my own heart. I felt that angels have always been there for me all my life, but I had never really fully acknowledged that for fear that they were not sourced from that place of love. In reading your message again, I was really struck by the simplicity and clarity in which we can ask for help, as well as how that help integrates with our life.
This past week, I have been asking my angels to help me resolve situations at work where people were constantly interrupting each other in meetings, not listening or allowing each other to finish their sentences, and basically hijacking the meeting with their own agendas. It was a simple prayer from my heart, and I was astonished at the immediate results. Within minutes, the room went quiet, and everyone looked at each other and realized what they were doing and stopped. A few people started laughing and apologized, and the facilitator was able to continue the meeting without interruption. To me, it was an amazing miracle because I really didn’t do anything except ask for help and held the intention that peace be restored!

I was really excited to see the title of this post, as it is one of my most favorite topics. A few months back you wrote about asking the angels for assistance in one of the newsletters. I have been doing that ever since with great results. I feel it really brings me peace, because instead of tossing problems around endlessly in my head, I ask for clarity or to be shown a way, and then I let go and open myself to inspiration. Since I have been doing this, I noticed that I feel more tangibly connected to the divine and all there is. I feel like I have a team that is always there for me. For the more intractable problems, I am going to try the baby steps idea. I think that is my next step. Thank you so much!!
This is another beautiful example of the real-life benefits of working with your angels and how natural that can feel. I especially love this example because it illustrates what I feel is the best alignment with your angels. This type of alignment, where you retain your autonomy, will empower you and facilitate your growth as a person. A short while ago, I put out a call for help, don’t often think of doing this, well, not often enough; it came to me to try this, and I meant it sincerely. Guess what? Suddenly, I was invited to this blog. That’s energy. Not only that, guess what? I dove in to discover the very topic itself was about “help”!
Words are inadequate but what I can say is that I have been affected and, in addition, in such a way that is not easy to forget.
On a side note I will say that I’ve sort of given up on all my mental analyses of everything, including angels; moments like this, however, thankfully outstrip all that anyway…the feverous antics of somewhat limited, “linear” mind.
And, “p.s.”, I really do like the idea or option of “baby steps”, something that never occurred to me either…though at the moment I cannot for the life of me understand why! Perhaps it has to do with conditioning (and/or panic)…you know, the tense “all or nothing” mode, like in an exam. The idea of failure, or partial success, bringing on impatience and even flat out denial…shut down.
In closing, I would have to say that this all opens up a whole new world of discovery…

It is a great solution to those difficult situations that tend to induce paralysis of action. Also a great point about giving up mental analysis of everything.
I like to think of the linear mind as a fantastic tool for some things. But it’s too much to ask the thinking, linear mind to be able to process every single thing that exists. The neat thing about realizing this is that it encourages us to open up other faculties of intelligence that we may rarely ever use, like intuition and pure awareness stemming from the heart.

In my dream there was this bright, bright white light with yellow around it and i heard this very loud, loud thunder, and in my dream i heard me say God really loud, and then i started to say Our Lords prayer and that was it. I have not said anything to anybody except you. Please explain.

I actually don’t do dream interpretation. But here is how you can try to interpret your own dreams. Although it is best to do this when you first wake up, so it’s possible that too much time may have passed to make this easy.
At any rate, just look at the different symbols in your dream, and think about what they mean to you. Then see if you can intuitively put it altogether and sense a deeper meaning. What is the feeling you were left with after the dream? What does the dream seem to indicate to you?
Oftentimes, the symbols in dreams are not meant to be taken literally, so the events in a dream may not be representative of the exact message in a literal sense. But that is something you would have to determine for yourself.
Other than that, see if you can find somebody who interprets dreams professionally. Good luck with figuring this out. Lots of love to you!
I have always believed in angels. i have had a hard time in my marriage and life . I love music and sometimes I would listen to a beautiful song and close my eyes and would see angels dancing around me as I danced. They would hold hands and it was like they were flying around me and loving the music as much as I loved it. I felt such happiness and so at peace. I believe angels are around me and come to be as butterflies. My faith has kept me going and know God is always with me. And angels protect me and are always with me to enjoy music like me or just to dance with me. My best friend died just over a year ago with a brain tumor. We talked many times and she was the most loving kind hearted person I ever knew. She had a collection of Angels in her home. She sent me a few too. When she was scared of dying I told her do not be afraid you will be with the beautiful Angels in heaven and God. I believe she went to heaven on the wings of an angel . She was a great mom , friend, Wife and was loved by so many people. So yes I believe in angels but you have given me more ways to talk to my Angels. Thank you so much for this post Saratoga I feel so much tears as I write this. I am blessed to have God in my life and my beliefs in angels help me cope with the hardships of life.
